Backstory

Long ago, Morvessa was worshipped as a healer goddess. She taught mortals that illness was part of life’s cycle—pruning the weak, strengthening the strong, and preventing overpopulation.

But as civilizations grew, people began to fear death more than they respected balance. They turned to other gods for protection and cursed Morvessa’s name.

Eventually:

• Temples to her were destroyed

• Her followers were hunted

• She was cast out of the divine realm

Betrayed and forgotten, Morvessa transformed. No longer gentle, she became the very thing mortals feared.

A powerful empire has nearly eliminated disease using magic and divine blessings from rival gods.
